We'll Meet Again
Thank you to everyone who has extended their condolences.
I really appreciate the kind words, cards, old photos and calls received.
Yes, my father passed away 6 days after my return from Yuma and post Dying Dad article.
I didn’t write about it as frankly, I didn’t have anything funny to say.
I miss my dad. I miss calling him every Sunday hearing about his activities. I miss hearing him ask how “Alex” and “Uh….your daughter” is. He was kinda forgetting stuff toward the end.
Goodbye Dad. We’ll meet again~

Kristine, I'm so sorry to hear about your Dad. There are no words to help, I know. I lost my Mom after a long battle with Leukemia last June. Something that has helped me TREMENDOUSLY is a book called Embraced by the Light by Betty J. Eadie. It's a great story even for someone who hasn't recently lost a loved one, but for me it was the thing that saved me from endless mourning. What you said about "we'll meet again" is sooooo true. I have no doubt, you will!!!! Please let me know if you end up reading this book. The last person I loaned my copy to read it twice, it's THAT GOOD. Blessings.

I'm so sorry about your Dad... I remember him standing in my doorway at Orton Hall demanding you hurry up and get ready to go eat or something. He was GREAT! We had fun hearing stories about your life with him... it was so unique.
I hope your really OK, my thoughts are with you. Dad's and daughters have a special connection...take care of yourself.

I am so sorry to hear about your Dad. I lost my wonderful Grandmother "Miss Elsie" On October 26 last year. It was a horribly tough time for me and for our family. Just know that they are truely in a better place and now you can think of your father as a little angel watching over you, Julia and Alec. Keep your head up and keep writing. I still read your blogs and still get a kick out of them. Take care hope all is well.
